Agreement

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Eagon Transport website at eagontransport.co.uk and any services provided by Eagon Transport Ltd ("Eagon Transport", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales.

By accessing our website or placing a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

These Terms apply to all bookings made online, by phone, or via any other channel. The carriage of goods is also governed by our Conditions of Carriage, which form part of your contract with us.

Our services

Eagon Transport provides same-day and scheduled courier and freight transport services across mainland Great Britain. We do not currently serve Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, or the Isle of Man.

Our services include, but are not limited to: same-day delivery, next-day delivery, scheduled collection and delivery, multi-drop routes, vehicle and driver hire, pallet transport, and dedicated transport.

We reserve the right to refuse a booking at our discretion, including where we believe the goods fall within our prohibited categories, where the booking details are incomplete or inaccurate, or where we have reasonable cause to suspect fraud.

Booking and payment

Quotes and prices

Quotes generated by our online tool are valid for 24 hours and are based on the information you provide. All prices are shown inclusive of VAT at 20% unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to adjust a quote where the goods presented at collection differ materially from the description provided at the time of booking.

Payment

Payment is taken at the time of booking via our secure payment processor, Stripe. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Business account customers with an approved credit account are invoiced monthly in arrears. All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP).

Booking confirmation

A booking is confirmed only when you receive a written confirmation email from us with a unique booking reference. If you do not receive a confirmation within 10 minutes of submitting a booking, please contact us on 07835 272954 before assuming the booking is live.

Surcharges

Additional charges may apply in the following circumstances: out-of-hours or weekend collection; collection or delivery in a congestion or clean air zone; remote or restricted-access address; waiting time beyond 15 minutes at collection or delivery point; failed delivery where the recipient is unavailable; re-delivery after a failed attempt.

Cancellations and amendments

Cancellations by you

You may cancel a booking free of charge up to 2 hours before the scheduled collection time. Cancellations made within 2 hours of the scheduled collection incur a 50% cancellation fee. No refund is available once a driver has been dispatched to the collection address. Refunds for eligible cancellations will be processed to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days.

Amendments

Address changes and minor amendments can be made free of charge up to 2 hours before collection by calling 07835 272954. Changes that materially affect the route, vehicle requirement, or timing may result in a revised quote.

Cancellations by us

We reserve the right to cancel a booking in circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), including severe weather, road closures, civil unrest, or other events that make it impossible or dangerous for us to complete the booking. In such cases we will notify you as soon as practicable and refund your payment in full.

Our liability

Our liability for loss of or damage to goods in transit is governed by our Conditions of Carriage. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under English law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you in connection with any booking shall not exceed the lesser of: the declared value of the goods, the insured value selected at the time of booking, or 1,300 pounds per tonne of gross weight (the Road Haulage Association standard limit).

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses including loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of contracts, or damage to goodwill, even if we were aware that such losses might occur.

Prohibited goods

The following goods must not be tendered for carriage without our prior written agreement:

• Explosives, ammunition, and Class 1 dangerous goods
• Illegal substances and goods prohibited under UK law
• Live animals (other than by specific prior arrangement with our specialist division)
• Human remains or ashes
• Unaccompanied cash or negotiable instruments
• Goods subject to CITES restrictions without appropriate documentation
• Hazardous materials (ADR goods) without prior declaration and our written acceptance
• Perishable goods in vehicles not equipped for temperature control

We accept no liability for loss or damage arising from carriage of prohibited goods, and you will be liable for any losses, costs, or claims arising from the carriage of such goods without our consent.

Your obligations

By placing a booking with us, you warrant and agree that:

• All information provided at the time of booking is accurate and complete
• You are the owner of the goods or are authorised to arrange their carriage
• The goods are not prohibited under these Terms or applicable law
• Goods are properly packed and labelled and fit for the rigours of transport
• You will ensure that someone is available at the collection address at the agreed time
• You will provide accurate contact details for the recipient
• You will comply with all applicable laws relating to the goods being carried

Intellectual property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, design, software, and trade marks, is owned by or licensed to Eagon Transport Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of our website without our prior written consent.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in our intellectual property other than the right to use our website for its intended purpose.

Third-party links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for your convenience only. We have no control over the content of those sites and accept no responsibility or liability for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after any changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
